Munnki News.

3 November 2008.
Following on from Uffmoor, Pete has a poorly foot! So he will not be training this week! Again!

2 November 2008.
There has not been any news for a while. That is not because nothing has been happening, but because the webmaster lost the codes to access the website. So, we are two races into the Helly Hansen Adventure Challenge series, having already raced at Cannock Chase and Longmoor Camp. Although we do not seem to have hit top speed yet, things are ticking along nicely and we are sure that next time we shall put in a proper performance. Other than that, the cross country season has started and so we had fun in the park. We ran in the inaugural Birmingham Half Marathon which gave us a different look at our city and today we had been running through the muddy woods at Uffmoor, getting very dirty indeed!
Oh, and last week, Rob walked into a lamppost.

19th and 20th January 2008.
First outings of the new year and two races in a weekend again. Cross country was tough on saturday around Cofton Park. 12km on the road around Stratford was so much easier. Mark ran well in both, Rob showed that drinking, eating and not training is not the best way to prepare.

2nd December.
Helly Hansen Adventure Race, Hawley.
On a cold, wet, windy day on an army base near Camberley, BigMunnki turns out for it's first proper adventure race of the year. After a reasonable first run and first bike lap, a misunderstanding loses them a few minutes. In the second half, Mark and Rob compete to see who can have the worse cramp and Tim feels no pain as usual.

1St December
Cross Country League, Hinckley.
Mark and Rob run for their club in the cross country league. Mark runs better than Rob but they both find out that cross country is not just a run in the park!

18th November 2007.
Suicide Six(ish), Baggeridge Country Park.
Mark runs well and finishes looking a bit rough in 52 minutes. Pete finishes in just under the hour looking much better than Mark.

Rob drops out after about a mile, claiming that he felt unwell but the Munnki suspects that it is because it started to rain.

Tim joins us for a surprise committee meeting and shopping trip later.
